The returning home

Living in France teaches me the value of life. I was born in a family with a good reputation. In Cambodia things were like magic, it was happened naturally which made me felt like it was normal. Actually, because my family treated me special. Yet, I didn’t realize that luck and I always wanted to escape from this old tradition. Moving in France life was completely different, I arrived in the modest conditions which I thought it was just a joke at the first time. Unfortunately, it was the reality. I had to learn to live with my new environment even though I didn’t feel like it was where I should belong. Suddenly, the strict education from my family became a very strong background and made me feel like a giant tree which none of typhoons could destroy. Strong racin had been plugged into the ground until the heart of mother earth, I am so thankful to my family for this strong base.
I had to fight to find myself which I had been lost day by day in France. 7 years of obscurity, I finally got back my voice, my life, my light, my freedom. I became stronger, what is more I became who I really am, my value. I understood ” To recognize the light, you need to live the dark “.
I keep moving on and life keeps surprising me. I was nothing 4 years ago and now I am somebody, I rebuilt my own empire. I discouver amazing life, enjoy it even with less.
Coming back to Cambodia 2017, I am different. I feel love, I am loved and my love is not the same. It is pure, my world becomes clearer; more enjoyable and I spread it to my family. I am treated as a queen even though nothing so fancy. But you know, when you feel like a queen wherever you go, you are still one.

Midi pleated skirt

Such a long history of pleated dresses and the pleated skirt was born around 1920s as I know. There are so many kinds of pleated which allow us to make whatever you love and suitable for your body type. Well, as maxi skirt is on the way back for this spring so I need to keep myself trendy, little bit LOL.

I surfed on the internet last day, I saw an YSL skirt !!!! Wooooo that was so perfect. I was so in love with it but the price didn’t sound good for my wallet, so as usual I walked to my favorite fabric shop on the Victor Hugo street in Lyon to hunt for my babe. Yeah !!! As I expected a perfect Viscose caught all my intention. GOSH I gotta have it !! then yeah I got it for 15 Euros. 100 times less expensive than YSL skirt, so I am happy…

Today I made one of the pleated skirt. I used knife pleated for my skirt. The result is more than satisfied… Hihihi . I paired with vintage Armani Exchange belt..

Here we go, hope you enjoy the post and share me your maxi skirts pictures in the comment below. I would love to see them…

Have a great Sunday

XXL Jacket

It seems the XXL jacket, coat are back in track this year, as wearing boyfriend’s jacket is always my dream * XXL fashion for me is boyfriend stuffs 😉 *so I made me one this year. I always thought wearing long jacket looks ridiculous on a short girl like me, but finally I found it looks better than I’ve thought. So short ladies!!!! give it a try !!!! 😉

jacket back

I found this fake fur was on sale in Mondial Tissue, since I was so lazy to make my own pattern I grabbed one from Burda. It was so easy to make! I encourage every women to try sewing.

jacket side

I forgot the price of the fabric, I think I spent about 25 Euros for the total of my jacket and the pattern included.

Well, the proudest thing is I wear my own clothing and it’s unique 😉

Full circle skirt

Talking about full circle skirt, it’s a kind of endless fashion. It comes over and over again and I am still loving those kind of skirts. Not only feminine but also simple, chic, glamour. It depends on how you were it; when and what fabric… It’s absolutely a stunning stuff which every women should have in their closets.

One Saturday I stopped by a small fabric shop, I found a floral linen fabric. I was immediately thought of full circle skirt ! GOSH, I gotta have it, so I bought it for 15€ for about 3m5. It’s even cheaper than a good full circle skirt in the shops.

I have to say that I gave up on sewing about 4 or 5 years ago, this time would be a good challenge for me and myself 😉 … I quite am satisfied with the result.
